The First Fair began as a New Plymouth Community Fair in 1899.
New Plymouth Fair was held at the Congregational Church in 1927 and 1928.
It was held on the School Grounds from 1929 to 1945.
Moved to Kiwanis Park area in 1946 and was officially named “The Payette County Fair” in 1947.
It was moved, in 1950, to its present location on the East Side of Town.
New Rodeo Arena and New Buildings were built at that time.
The first Fair Parade was in 1953 – Theme was “Miss Idaho,” to honor Jane Bostic, who was Miss Idaho in the Miss America Contest.
